Mothers Day Classic

On Mothers Day, HRH and I will be participating in the Mothers Day Classic, a fun walk around the Domain and Mrs Macquaries Chair along the foreshore of Sydney Harbour to raise money for breast cancer research. While we will be doing the walk in Sydney, there will be similar events in capital cities and regional centres across Australia.

For us, this started off as a way to escape the certain disasters of breakfast in bed on Mothers Day morning ... HRH did try so hard but it always ended in tears ... and to raise money for a good cause. Thankfully, HRH is much older now and those Mothers Day breakfasts in bed are a thing of the past, but this has lasted the test of time.

We have been walking in recent years in support of our friend and fellow SCQuilter Kathryn Sheehan who recently lost her long and hard-fought battle with breast cancer. So, this year's walk will be a very special one for us.

If you would like to make a donation in memory of Kathryn or just to support this worthy cause, you can use this link.

Or you can send your cheque payable to National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) and mailed to the NBCF at:
